Here we have answered some questions you may have before you decide to book

Do you have parking places near the house?

We have parking places outside the house, in the street, but as all Bergen city is divided into parking zones we all have to pay for parking. You can buy parking admittance through  the App: “P i Bergen” (download to your mobile, and pay directly) Price is Nok 10,- pr hour between 08-23 (08-17) – Sundays free.


Do you have an internet connection?

We have a free wifi connection.

Is it far to go from the airport to your place? Or the train station?

From the airport:
Take the city train to the end stop, and from there find a bus at “Festplassen” going in North direction, leave the bus at “Skutevikstorget”.

From the train station:
As the train station is located at the other side of the city from where we are, it takes 25-30 minutes to walk. You can find a bus at the bus station, or from “Festplassen”. Directions for walking can be given on request.

Do you have a bus stop nearby?

There are many buses passing the main road along the sea, only 3-4 minutes to walk. There is also another bus line closer, but with less departures. As we live close to the city center we walk mostly, but for some guests traveling with heavy luggage it may be easier to take a bus to the get closer to train station or boats terminals.

Is your address easy to find?

When your booking is final we will inform you about how to find your way. Normally easy for most of our guests to find either they come by car, by bus or walking.

What time can we come to let our luggage in the guest house?

You can at any time come and leave your luggage if you arrives before 16:00, but you may need to find your keys outside as the house is normally not served at daytime. This means you have to inform in advance about your arrival time, and also if you need to pick up a key.

Are your rooms comfortable enough for more than 2 adults?

We only have one room that can be suitable for 3 persons, the Red room, all other rooms can take 1-2 persons only.

Do we have access to outdoors area?

We have both a private back garden, and a small lovely terrace at the front. In daytime the sun makes the back garden warm and lovely for an outdoor breakfast, and in evenings you can enjoy the sunsets from the front terrace.

Do you have attached bathroom?

All rooms have access to shared bathroom and one extra toilet, all located at ground floor.  Loft room is the only one with a private toilet inside.

Are your guests allowed to use the kitchen? Is it fully equipped?

There is a shared kitchen for guests only, where you can prepare the meals you may need. It’s a small kitchen, with basic equipment for small meals. No oven, but with 2 hobs and a microwave, also a dishwasher. The dining table can easy take 4 persons.

Do you need deposit for our reservation?

We normally ask for a payment in advance, an amount of 20-25% of your total cost. This is to guarantee for both parts, and is to be paid at least 3 weeks upon arrival. We use Paypal.com for this, and we will send you a request for this payment after your reservation. No need for a private account at Paypal.com to transfer money, and it is safe and secure to use.

Do you serve breakfast?

We don’t serve breakfast at the house, but you can easy prepare the meals you need in the shared kitchen. The kitchen is small but still well equipped. Or you can find a nice cafe to have your breakfast outside the house, – ex. “Godt Brød” opens at 08:00 and serve delicious bread and coffees (next to the Funicular and close to Fishmarket/Bryggen)

Are sheets/linen/towels included?

Yes, it’s all included.
